With the Chicago River dyed green and a 70-degree day in the mix, ProMat 2025 had the perfect backdrop. The halls buzzed with over 1,200 exhibitors showcasing the latest in supply chain innovation, but one theme stood out for shippers: packing.
From rising transportation costs to aggressive sustainability targets, businesses are rethinking how they pack—and how much it’s costing them.
In a sea of muted blues and grays, the bright pink Paccurate booth was hard to miss. Positioned midway down the South Hall, the Paccurate team had a steady stream of conversations with shippers, partners, and curious attendees, all asking the same question: “What exactly is packing intelligence?”
Live demos showcased PacSimulate®, PacAPI, and our newest solution—PacHealth®, a packing analytics tool that helps shippers cut costs, reduce waste, and remain compliant. With visual dashboards at your fingertips, PacHealth displays reports based on personalized key performance indicators (KPIs) to show you and your team where you can make improvements.
We also highlighted the new release of our cartonization in the shopping cart integration, which calculates real-time shipping costs during the checkout phase when paired with a rate-shopping tool. This allows businesses to eliminate unexpected shipping overages and even turn fulfillment into a profit center. Beyond the show floor, co-founder and CEO James Malley led an MHI education session titled “Why is Packaging Optimization in Vogue?”, which explored why packing is finally getting the strategic attention it deserves.
With mounting tighter margins and higher expectations for automation and sustainability, packing has shifted from an afterthought to a critical lever for efficiency and profitability. James walked through the evolution of packing from guesswork to data-driven decision-making and shared a real-world example with Barrett Distribution Centers (BDC). BDC implemented a modern cartonization strategy and saw a 5.9% drop in transportation spend, 33% less corrugate used, and a 34% reduction in net DIM weight.
Beyond our booth, Paccurate was quietly empowering partners on the show floor—embedded in automation platforms, shipping tools, and fulfillment systems. We were proud to showcase alongside our Paccurate Enabled™ partners and alliances:
Aptean delivers industry-specific ERP, WMS, and TMS tools to over 11,000 businesses worldwide. They focus on streamlining operations with tailored solutions to boost fulfillment efficiency. Paccurate’s cartonization integrates with Aptean’s WMS offerings to optimize packing workflows and reduce costs for clients.
Cubiscan, a provider of dimensioning and warehouse automation systems, showcased its new N9 pallet dimensioner for LTL shippers. Designed to measure the dimensions of outbound pallets, the N9 helps shippers avoid chargebacks and prepare for upcoming changes to National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) codes.
Cubiscan also featured the Cubiscan 325, an advanced dimensioning system built for apparel, parts, eaches, and irregularly shaped SKUs, offering precise measurements with 1mm accuracy. All captured data is stored in Cubiscan’s Qbit Cloud, making it accessible anytime, anywhere. This data can used to power Paccurate’s API for 3D, cost-aware cartonization. With accurate master data in hand, Paccurate generates optimal packing scenarios to support smarter packaging and fulfillment decisions.
Deposco showcased advancements in its Warehouse Management Software, featuring new AI-driven supply chain intelligence and integration with material handling equipment. Their platform now enables real-time shipping optimization and proactive decision-making, further enhanced by Paccurate’s intelligent cartonization.
Kardex, a global leader in automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), helps businesses maximize space and accelerate order fulfillment. At ProMat, they unveiled updates to FulfillX WES and the Intuitive Picking Assistant, enhancing the speed and intelligence behind the world’s fastest AutoStore™ system.
Kardex and Paccurate also debuted a new integration that brings cost-optimized cartonization into ASRS workflows—helping fulfillment teams pack smarter, reduce waste, and keep operations moving at top speed.
Logiwa, a leader in cloud-native fulfillment software, helps 3PLs and direct-to-consumer brands scale high-volume operations. At the show, they highlighted Logiwa IO, their next-gen Fulfillment Management System. The new partnership with Paccurate adds modern cartonization to their platform, helping customers pack smarter.
Packsize announced the launch of its X6 Automated Right-Sized Packaging System, capable of producing up to 1,500 custom-fit boxes per hour. Paccurate’s intelligence is integrated directly into Packsize machines, including the X6, to determine the optimal box in real-time, reducing materials and transport costs.
ProShip provides multi-carrier shipping software for high-volume enterprise shippers. Their platform enables complex business rule automation and real-time carrier optimization. With Paccurate embedded, shippers can simulate packing scenarios ahead of time and make adjustments to reduce costs and maintain compliance.
SVT Robotics helps IT teams deploy and scale automation with its tech-agnostic SOFTBOT® Platform. At ProMat, they spotlighted how SOFTBOT simplifies integration across warehouse systems. Paccurate connects via SOFTBOT to bring intelligent cartonization into fulfillment processes with minimal lift.
Together, these partners are solving real-world challenges across the supply chain. From Kardex’s FulfillX software to Packsize’s on-demand, right-sizing systems, each of these platforms uses Paccurate’s intelligence to deliver smarter, faster, and more sustainable packing operations.
