Betterware Turns Every Box Into Savings

Betterware, founded in Mexico in 1995, has built its reputation as a leader in direct-to-consumer innovative home solutions. Betterware ships domestically within Mexico and across LATAM, managing large shipping volumes to affiliates. With a strong people-first culture, Betterware’s modern campus outside Guadalajara provides employees with amenities and support that foster a sense of community, making work feel collaborative and welcoming.

The Challenge: Every Box Counts

Success brought scale, but it also surfaced new challenges. Betterware operates under a specialized carrier agreement that only charges a fixed rate for shipping. With four available carton sizes and more than one box required for many orders, each additional box carried a marginal cost.

Betterware’s team recognized that even with large orders containing multiple line items, increasing the number of items per box would lower the total boxes shipped per order and generate direct savings. The team explained, “We understood that cartonization was key: fewer boxes shipped per order means immediate cost efficiencies.” 

Finding a Solution

Betterware knew they needed a solution to improve order packing and maximize the value of their carrier agreement. That’s when they turned to the Paccurate Packing Control System (PCS). Rather than simply providing software, Paccurate brought deep cartonization expertise and a strong partnership.

Taking a collaborative approach, Paccurate worked with Betterware over the course of 1–2 months to design a solution, work through implementation, and ultimately support through go-live, which included an on-site visit to ensure success.

On the floor, the Packing Control System removes the frustration of trial-and-error and costly repacks, giving packers clear, accurate instructions that make their jobs easier and more efficient.

PacManage gave Betterware’s operations team direct control over packing, allowing them to quickly implement rules such as nesting and stacking for foldability. “Resources gave us agility. What once required IT is now in the hands of our operators,” said a member of the Betterware Operations team.

Results that Scale

Embracing Paccurate’s cartonization engine as a strategic lever allowed Betterware to achieve measurable results and realize significant savings immediately. Today, Betterware ships more volume in fewer but fuller boxes, with sustainable freight savings that will grow every year.

Beyond cost savings, Betterware is projected to reduce corrugate waste by nearly 1,300 acres per year, aligning with their commitment to sustainability.

No matter what new items Betterware decides to stock or what changes to their business may occur, they now have the ability to minimize shipping costs and corrugated waste to the absolute lowest amount possible.
